WHO IS
Philipp Tandler, known as Frühwerk, is a techno artist from the cultural centers of Mannheim and Vienna. His journey into the rhythmic world of music started at the age of 13, with the strings of a guitar. He later shifted to electronic music, focusing on the harder strains of Cosmic Techno, which defines his signature style.
The year 2018 marked a pivotal point for Frühwerk when he won a DJ contest organized by Hausgemacht, a prominent techno collective in Vienna. In 2021, he co-founded Donnerkanzel, an association that blends visuals with electronic music, and used innovative LED panel arrangements in shows.
The same year, he released his EP ‘Polarize’ under Deborah De Luca’s label, Solamente, marking a career milestone. He produced EPs like “Dancing Leads” with Reload Records and “Love For You” with Set About, featuring a blend of driving, melodic, and atmospheric sounds. In December 2023, he debuted with Berlin-based Kuukou Records, gaining attention from artist Simina Grigoriu.
His work has received support from artists like Bart Skils, The YellowHeads, Sama Abdulhadi, and many others.

Donnerkanzel
The Donnerkanzel is a creative platform specializing in the combination of real-time visuals and electronic music. It originated from the idea of using LED panels as a display for their own visuals and began with a set that sparked the desire for expansion in Vienna’s clubs. Within a year, the Donnerkanzel has established itself in the Viennese techno scene, with performances in renowned clubs such as Grelle Forelle and FLUC Wanne. In addition to revitalizing the club scene, their offerings also include video productions and recording DJ sets.
